South Caicos, the fishing capital, offers an unspoiled escape where the sea still shapes daily life. In the sea, however, is where all the action lies. Massive starfish dot the clear waters at Starfish alley, a shallow area of water where you wade around among the starfish and tour guides show you how to dive for conch.

Getting there is easy, British Airways has flights from London Heathrow to Provo twice a week, or fly via Miami to reach South Caicos.
